The vision of the Florida Refugee Health Program (RHP) is to be a leader in providing Culturally sensitive health services to persons who have fled their home country due to Persecution (political, religious, or economic) in search for a better life and self sufficiency in America. Within this vision is the protection of public health from communicable disease through the review of overseas medical examination records and the provision of health screenings and immunizations.
The Refugee Health Program provides, through federal funding from the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement, a health assessment and immunization services for the following groups of individuals: refugees, asylees, Cuban/Haitian asylum applicants, Cuban/Haitian entrants (including parolees), Amerasians, and certain victims of severe forms of human trafficking.

Please bring any medical records you may have, x-rays, vaccination card, passport and I94 card to the health assessment. The Refugee Health Assessment Program will also provide you with health related information and with any referrals you may need. Do not be afraid to ask questions. You should understand what services are provided and what other treatment might be required. The intent of this health assessment is to prevent health problems before they occur.
