Strategic Alliance for Health
Hillsborough County Health Department Office of Health Equity (OHE) is partially funded by a grant through the Center for Disease Control and Prevention Strategic Alliance for Health (SAH) initiative. SAH improves communities’ health through sustainable, innovative, and evidence-based community health promotion and chronic disease prevention interventions that promote policy, systems, and environmental changes.

The OHE is achieving SAH’s vision by:
- Creating a community that supports breastfeeding
- Developing Coordinated School Health Plans for charter schools
- Assisting organizations in developing comprehensive wellness policies
- Organizing collaborations and partnerships that work to improve the health of all who live, learn, work, and play in Hillsborough County
