Environmental Health Services inspects, permits and investigates any complaint associated with public swimming pools, spas and bathing areas in Hillsborough County.

All new public swimming pools and spas must submit engineered plans for review prior to construction at the cost of $350.00.

After construction the pool must be inspected for compliance with Florida Administrative Codes prior to opening at thJuly 2, 2008 Operating Permit.

When approval is granted an Annual Permit is issued.

The cost for pools greater than 25,000 gallons July 2, 2008re less than 25,000 gallons, the cost is $100.00. Approved bathing areas are monitored and permitted for the cost of $200.00.

The swimming pools, spas and approved bathing areas are then rouJune 10, 2008 maintained.
